Why didn’t someone create something like this before now? We’ve had a couple close calls with the kiddos and I’m not ready to have that conversation., so we gave this a shot. Roll the dice.
This thing practically disappears in our bedroom (under our bed). It doesn’t call attention and give our curious kids something to investigate – it’s just “nothing to see here”. Even if our kids found it, I’d be surprised if they could open the thing without hacking it to pieces. One less thing for a mom to worry about.
As far as how it works and the quality – it’s perfect for us. It’s easy to pull out from underneath our bed, the light turns on when we open it, there is plenty of storage for everything we have, and we can recharge everything (like my Wand) while it’s tucked away. It’s simple and perfect for our toys.
The grey fabric isn’t winning any style awards but I get it – blend in. At a glance it looks like one of those fabric containers at Target or Amazon, only nicer with the leather touches. The lock is hidden behind a leather tab on the front and it has similar tabs on either side for moving the box around.
I really like the design and it’s nice to have somewhere other than the underwear drawer to hide out toys.

Snoops. That’s what kids are. That’s what adults are, too. You think your 13 year old isn’t going through your stuff? That’s when something like this becomes invaluable. Girls especially. They LOVE going through everything you own. I found this after trying to hide Christmas presents for my kids. My wife told me that they always knew what they were getting for Christmas and that they had gone through every nook and cranny of the house looking for hidden presents. The tape on them was clumsily put back together. So my first thought was of our ‘toys’.
When my wife told me that when she was a teenager she went through everything in her parents room. Every pocket of every pair of pants, shirts dresses; sock drawers, SOCKS? Again- SNOOPS! This has eased my mind. Naturally we did not go for the ‘exhibitionist’ style, but the standard model has eased my mind. I thought it would be a little too clinical, but I have found my heart pounding a bit when getting it out from under the bed.
